Hudson Restoration saves time by going digital.
Hudson Restoration is a staple in the executive restoration industry in Ontario. Hudson’s stellar reputation in the industry has now made waves online, just hitting their 40th 5-star Google review and counting. Their award-winning, “Rolls Royce” level of service has Insurers rethinking the way they look at claims processing for their high-end policyholders.
They made the choice to ‘go digital’ and joined Encircle in 2016. Nick Hudson, VP of Operations at Hudson commented, “historically, Hudson was lacking the use of technology for efficiency and productivity. We were doing a lot of things manually on paper; we just weren’t with the times”
Hudson met Encircle CEO, Paul Donald at a trade show and instantly liked Encircle’s ability to automatically organize photos captured from the job site. It was a big move forward from using a DSLR camera to take photos and individually uploading them to a folder.
“I pretty much signed up when I saw we could save a lot of time and money with Encircle”, Hudson chuckled. Today, Hudson happily recommends Encircle to colleagues looking to save time on site and cut back on administrative work back at the office.
“I’d say from our historical way of documenting a job we’re probably saving 6-8 hours a day of work just by being more efficient and productive. Doing it manually just seems so prehistoric to me now."
- NICK HUDSON, VICE PRESIDENT, HUDSON RESTORATION
Since implementing Encircle, Hudson is saving a significant amount of time and gaining a competitive edge. “I’d say from our historical way of documenting a job we’re probably saving 6-8 hours a day of work just by being more efficient and productive. Doing it manually just seems so prehistoric to me now” Nick said.
Creating accurate and complete reports are imperative to get the job done right. Hudson has its initial inspection reports built into the Encircle platform to expedite the process. With everything captured in one place, they’ve streamlined their documentation methods and now have comprehensive reports for carriers and clients.
Hudson explained, “We’ve definitely had the upper hand with being able to send docs electronically, it not only saves us time and money with travel costs, etc, but it also allows us to get in front of the customer and sign off on a project a lot quicker.”
Hudson has also found that having their moisture readings in Encircle helps them stay organized. Structural drying can be complex, and reporting requirements are increasingly strict. At the end of the job, they create comprehensive, professional-looking reports that are easy to decipher.
Should questions arise about a specific job, Hudson can access all information in the Encircle platform. “It releases us from a lot of liability and we don’t have to dig through paper folders to find the job. We can quickly look it up and pull up all the information we need.” Hudson said.
