Learn how to transform field data into defensible, IICRC-backed mitigation scopes in minutes
Our Scope live training sessions are quickly becoming a popular hub for restorers to learn, ask questions from our experts, share their results, and refine their documentation workflows.
We invite you to join a session (or several!) to see Scope in action. Many restorers find it most helpful to attend a training session, run a few scopes on their own, and then return to a future session to review their specific results and fine-tune their documentation with our experts.
Top 5 Frequently Asked Questions
- How accurate and reliable is an AI-generated scope? The accuracy of your scope is directly tied to the information provided during the inspection. Unlike Generic AI tools like Chat GPT, Encircle Scope prioritizes accuracy. It only works off of the data provided and will never make assumptions or hallucinate to sound complete. It utilizes direct citations from IICRC standards (S500, S520, S700) to ensure every prescribed task is justified.
- What documentation is required for the best results? The ideal data set includes 10+ photos per room from multiple angles, clear room-specific notes detailing materials and damages, and professional measurements (via Encircle Floor Plan or Hydro). For water losses, psychrometric and moisture data in Hydro provide additional context to create a fully defensible scope of work.
- Can I edit the scope once it's generated? Yes. You are the domain expert. The tool is built to shift your team from Authors to Editors. You can edit any section of the document to apply your specific expertise or correct site-specific details. If you notice that something is missing from the scope because it was missed in the documentation, we encourage you to add the documentation to the file and re-run the scope.
- Does Encircle Scope work for reconstruction or commercial jobs? The current tool is purpose-built and fine-tuned for mitigation workflows. While it can provide a scope for reconstruction and commercial projects, the terminology will not align with other use cases. (e.g. it will never generate ‘replace’ line items). Separate tools for reconstruction, contents, etc, will be coming in the future.
- Why shouldn't I test Scope on an old file? Encircle Scope relies on a specific timeline established within a job to accurately determine categories and classes. Running it on old files with historically meta-tagged data can lead to poor or confusing outputs. Always test on a fresh, current job for the best results.
Pro-Tip: Using Note Templates
To ensure technicians capture every critical detail, users are encouraged to set up Note Templates (e.g., Source of Loss) in their account settings. This gives every technician on every job a templated guide for the initial inspection documentation.
