Congrats to the winners of the 2023 Encircle Admin Appreciation Awards

It’s been a week since we announced our results, but we’re still buzzing with excitement over all of the kindness and appreciation that was shown this year for our annual Admin Appreciation Awards. We received a whopping 284 submissions this year, and were so touched by every single one of them.

Although it was difficult to choose, these are the top three anonymously chosen winners for this year’s Awards.

🥇 Mary Snavely

“There are really not the words to use to express her importance to the organization. Culture is very important to us; she leads with a positive, optimistic, and opportunistic approach to every day. She literally finds resources every day to make, save or be more efficient with our dollars!! Mary has made it her mission to understand every division we have and how her job affects each. She has also assisted in accounting, marketing, fleet, hiring, culture, and overall growth. Mary has a mind for seeing what is coming and is building her leadership to take on every challenge. Mary is also here whenever needed, and in our 24/7/365 business it is so important. She takes on every challenge presented her and does it with grace and perfection."

“Charles Welch is our superhero!! [...] His level of empathy was beyond what you would expect from an employee. His gift of discernment helped guide us with clients and even assignment of project managers. [...] He is super compassionate about his fellow co-workers. He will always try to make you laugh but at least make you smile! He works behind the scenes now and no one knows the troubles or stresses that the TPAs put him through (well...except his next door office mate....)! Chuck is definitely the best admin! He has been so adaptable to change and does an excellent job and has compassion for our clients!! We are so lucky to have him in this new role!!"

Of course, there were several other nominations that were stellar and highlighted the incredible work done by restoration admins — so many, we can’t possibly list them all here. But here’s just a sampling of what restorers had to say about their admirable admins.

Aulia (Premier Restoration)

"Aulia is always so kind and empathetic to our customers, which is crucial since most of the times our customers are not in a good place going through a loss of some sort. Aulia is the glue for our employees, and as the GM I greatly appreciate everything she does. Performing her duties as an office manager is always amazing. But her genuine care she has for her fellow team members is second to none. She also puts it into action with helping her coworkers out from a ride to work, food, clothes, and even a shoulder to cry on. I've never met a person as genuine and caring as Aulia. If there was a best person award, I would nominate her for that too."

"Erica has been with our team for a little over a year now and shown exceptional commitment, the highest level of effort, and a passion for learning and improving uncommon for her generation. Her natural administrative ability is second to none, but her daily choice to always be reliable and choose a great attitude when the going gets tough is what truly sets her apart. We were lucky to find her looking for a place to land offering an improved work life balance in this crazy world of restoration."

"The best indicator of Erin's commitment to excellence comes from her selfless dedication to the clients, staff, and ATI office in Atlanta. Erin balances her family along with the position as office manager, remaining loyal to each. During the Christmas Day freeze in Atlanta, Erin was able to support the teams by dispatching them to losses, handle overflow calls from clients, and still be there for her children on Christmas Day. All of these were done selflessly without the expectation of recognition. It is what we do when no one is looking that shows our character, and Erin makes sure she always does the right thing first!"

"Janice has been an extraordinary asset to ATI since we acquired her previous company 2.5 years ago. Whenever new policies or procedures are implemented, Janice steps in to change the tide, helping to move the team in the right direction. Her direct approach when working with office and hourly field staff is one-of-a-kind, and her earned respect from her colleagues allows her office to adjust quickly to the ever-changing environment of the restoration industry."

"Stacey is not only a lot of fun to work with, she is the official 'get things done' person around our office. [...] When the going gets tough Stacey is always tougher, she is the first to open her computer on the weekend when the claims come flying in or help Project Managers get estimates in for consideration. Stacey is an amazing person to work with and an integral part of our team! Thanks Stacey!"

"We were able to hire her back from the same company we lost her to ten years previous, and since coming back eight months ago she has lived up to every daydream of the missed 'good old days' when we were organized and operating with consistency. At the same time of cleaning up ten years of dis-organization, she has spent countless hours outside the scope of her job researching the absolute best programs and systems to help streamline our operations and CRM. [...] Those types of work quality ownership are rare in an employee, and Donna does it everyday, over and over. Her value to our organization (in addition to myself), can not be monetized. "Bill is the glue that holds our team together. He serves both our executive admin team and our SERVPRO of Montgomery County franchise admin team. We often call him our Team Nicholson encyclopedia; he has all the answers. He is a shining example of our company values — honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, genuineness, and relationship. He's also one of our most tenured employees with more than 9 years service! Bill never hesitates to take a new employee under his wing, jump in when asked for help on special initiatives, and often puts in extra time and dedication beyond his daily responsibilities."

"I have had the privilege of working with Krystal for several years here at Win Win Emergency Restorations, and I can confidently say that there is no one more deserving of this award. Krystal consistently goes above and beyond in her role as an Office Administrator, supporting not only her fellow staff members but also vendors and partners in the industry. [...] Her influence on others is immeasurable, and she has left a lasting impression on those she has worked with. In closing, I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the title of Admin of the Year than Krystal.
