KITCHENER, ON, September 4, 2025 – Encircle, the leading field documentation platform for the property restoration industry, today announced the launch of Encircle Payments, a new integrated feature that allows restoration contractors to collect insurance deductibles and mitigation deposits in the field—directly in the Encircle app.
According to the 2024 C&R State of the Industry Report, cash flow has become the #1 concern for contractors, with 75% of contractors waiting more than 30 days to get paid. At the same time, the 2024 RIA Cost of Doing Business Report found that 22% of a contractor’s annual revenue is tied up in unpaid invoices, the largest asset category across all company sizes. Compounding the issue, over 52% of firms reported net income under 10%, leaving little room for delayed payments.
“Getting paid shouldn’t be the hardest part of the job,” said Paul Donald, CEO of Encircle. “Encircle Payments gives our customers a simple, secure way to collect deposits and deductibles on the spot in the app they are already using to document the job. It’s just one more way we’re helping contractors protect their margins.”
A recent survey of Encircle users revealed that more than 70% of contractors collect deposits or deductibles on at least half of their jobs, yet most rely on outdated methods like paper checks or phone-in credit card numbers—which are slow, manual, and difficult to track.
Encircle Payments allows any team member to request and collect payments via Tap to Pay or by secure text or email link. Each transaction is automatically recorded in the job file and processed securely via Stripe, ensuring full PCI compliance.
Key benefits of Encircle Payments:
- Faster collections: Request and collect payments instantly from the field
- Improved cash flow: Get money in the bank before the work begins
- Better customer experience: Secure payments and instant receipts for homeowners
- Fewer tools to manage: No more toggling between apps or calling the office
Encircle Payments is now available to Encircle customers in the USA and Canada.
