Encircle and Insta360 team up to bring camera choice to restoration documentation
Restorers can now capture unlimited 360 photos in Encircle with the Insta360 X-series—collecting richer field documentation in one app, included at no extra cost
KITCHENER, Ontario — July 22, 2026 — Encircle, the restoration platform built for documentation, reporting, and scoping today announced support for Insta360 X-series cameras. Restoration contractors can now connect an Insta360 X5, X4, X4 Air or X3 and capture full 360 photos straight into the job file, alongside traditional photos, videos, notes, floor plans, reports, and more.
The integration gives contractors choice in the 360 camera hardware they equip their teams with. Some vendors lock contractors into a specific camera kit, charge per scan, and keep the images in a separate tool. Encircle works differently: if a shop already owns an Insta360 X-series camera, it works with Encircle now — keeping everything in one app, with no extra fees.
360 photos feed directly into Encircle Scope–the latest AI innovation that turns field data into an IICRC-aligned mitigation scope in minutes. Because a 360 photo captures every angle of a room in one frame, Encircle AI can use that context to improve the accuracy, completeness, and defensibility of every scope.
